We have been feeling really inspired by the artist John Cage. This artist experimented with a lot of different mediums and materials and challenged the idea of what art could be.
He was also very interested in the idea of chance and having things unfold on their own. This idea inspired us to explore the idea of chance too so we made up a little art game!
What you will need is:
- Paper (watercolor paper is best)
- Dice
- Watercolors
- Paintbrush
- Oil pastels or crayons
- Colored paper or tissue paper
- Glue stick
The idea is to roll the dice and follow the instructions. You can interpret the instructions however you want! Just enjoy the process and make some art!
